More Goldendoodle Info
Goldendoodle puppies are known to be loving, and very loyal. These character traits are similar to those of the Golden Retriever. Goldendoodle puppies should be taught, with ease, to enjoy swimming at an early age, this is because of the bloodlines. Both the Golden retriever and Poodle breeds in the Goldendoodle bloodlines would normally like the water. Goldendoodle babies are known to be very smart, and friendly. These traits allow them to be just wonderful with kids. Because they are so intelligent, Goldendoodles tend to be quick learners and are trained very easily. This type of mix breed loves the companionship of humans. By nature, this hybrid is quite clam and is easy going. The Goldendoodle is open to strangers and other dogs. Goldendoodle puppies love to play, which comes from the Golden Retriever in their bloodlines.
To date, the Goldendoodle has become quite popular among families and individuals. This hybrid is a cross between the Golden Retriever and the Poodle breed. The Golden Retriever and Poodle mix is unique because the mix allows families with allergies to the Golden retriever breed, the ability to have the next best thing!
This specific cross breed is considered to be very hypo-allergenic or what some call, non-shedding, because of the Poodle mix. The coat can either be one of two types. First is the tight curly coat, second we have a wavy coat. Both coat types have virtually no shedding. The Goldendoodle is bred to have either a Fleece coat or a Wool Curly coat. Both coat types is known to be non-shedding and non-allergenic. The Fleece coat has a uniquely soft feel unlike any other dog coat, and is highly desired. The Wool Curly coat is similar to the poodle and feels like a wool sweater! Coat colors can vary from a range of different colors. These colors include Black colored Goldendoodle coats, Silver and parti-colored Goldendoodle coats, Cream colored Goldendoodle coats, Apricot Cream colored Goldendoodle coats, Chalk colored coats, Gold coats, Red colored coats, Apricot colored coats, Chocolate coats, and Cafe colored Goldendoodle coats all exist.
There are three sizes of Goldendoodles. There is the standard Goldendoodle, the medium sized Goldendoodle, and the mini or miniature sized Goldendoodle. The Standard sized Goldendoodle will have a weight of 45--77 pounds. The Medium Sized ones will be a weight of around 40-55 pounds, and the mini Goldendoodles weigh 26-55 pounds.
